The first ones to really deserve a huge amount of credit for input to this web site is Mari-Lynne Earls and the Agis Yearbook Staff.
Over the past 35 years, I have succeeded in losing contact with all my fellow classmates and the only thing I've
had to hold on to was "OUR" Year Book. But even then I didn't think of Mari-Lynne Earls. It wasn't until
this Web Site Project that I really began to appreciate what she and her helpers did 35 years ago. Somewhere along
the line I HAD to figure out who put the Year Book together and finally found her name and some credits on the last
page. That was just about the only mistake I could find. She should have given herself and crew credit
at the very beginning and in big bold print. Our Year Book is around 200 pages long, full of pictures, comments,
alphabetized, organized, and even has an index identifying were we all appear throughout. IMPRESSIVE MARI-LYNNE EARLS! My sincere thanks to ALL. LWN |

Shirley Barker Gillespie Shirley...what can I say about Shirley! Outside of the internet and Classmates.com she has almost single handedly, brought our class to life again, 35 years later. I truly would not have been doing this had it not been for her enthusiasum, pictures, input, mailings, and constant updates. And, I can't even begin to tell you how invaluable her input has been in putting the Web Site together. She has been a constant source of light throughout this project and I'm sure when all is said and done, she will have almost every one of our classmates accounted for and at the next reunion, if possible. She has also gone out of her way more than once to help me locate some of my lost buddies. I remember her driving over to Mickey Stewarts mom's house, in Dublin,Calif. to help locate him. Talk about a go getter. WHAT A FRIEND and CO-WORKER YOU HAVE BECOME! Thank you again for all your help. Your co-worker Larry Nicholas |

It's nice to have a structure and backbone to this whole thing. Looking back at past reunion mini
year booklets and material, I have noticed several names keep popping up who seem to have been
instrumental in putting the past reunion events togather and we all need
to thank them and the committee members. Unfortunately, I've never attended a reunion and
I'm not sure who they all are, so I'm going to defer to my Co-Editor on the Tennyson Web
Site, Shirley Barker Gillespie for the appropriate thank you's. Becki Flores Arant was always a welcome and contributing member at our reunion committee meetings. She was also very instrumental in calling classmates as our reunion deadline got close. A big thank you to Becki and her husband Doug, as they helped assemble photos in the memory book, made decisions, kept us on an even keel, and did whatever tasks needed to be done -- with a warm smile and enthusiasm, despite a long commute and family commitments. Becki and Doug also enlisted Linda Perry Deering and her husband Brian to help decorate on reunion night. The Arants flew to Chicago the morning following the reunion to welcome triplets into their family! We truly appreciate everything they've done! Larry Yingling got perfect attendance at all committee meetings and even brought his lovely wife Sally Ann, who was also very anxious to help out. Larry chaired the decorating committee, following the Tennyson theme and Lancer spirit with blue and white centerpieces and streamers -- not an easy task when our budget was zero! They both made numerous last-minute phone calls as the reunion deadline approached and encouraged classmates to sign up; and assisted with the memory book contents. Larry and Sally Ann were the highlight on the dance floor singing "My Girl" and "My Guy" which took us all back to American Bandstand Days. He in a handsome tuxedo and she in a lovely gown got our nomination for "Best Dressed" on reunion night. Such a sweet couple -- we couldn't have done it without them! Janet and Bob Calaway have put up with many committee meetings at their home. And, let's face it, without the help of 1967's "Cutest Couple" there definitely would not have been any past reunions. Janet's professional skills of project management really pays off -- she writes up the agendas, schedules and chairs the meetings. Not only that, but she does a heck of a research analysis--complete with color photos and extensive computations, which means we get the best location at the best price. Believe me, we have the best person for this job! We are so fortunate she is "retired" and is able to devote so much time preparing for Reunion 2002. Thank you, Bob, for your patience and for putting up with us! After 32 years of marriage, they still are the "Cutest Couple." Linda Smith Hunter has also been of invaluable assistance, providing lots of feedback and input to make all the past reunions so fun for all of us. She has been the entire decorating committee--making poster boards, working with T-shirt companies, videographers, and photographers--almost singlehandedly making our previous memory books so memorable! She's also maintained the address list in prior years--no small task! Talk about nostaglia, she has a ton of good stuff from past reunions--banners, photos, booklets--that will bring out the kid in all of us. Sheryl Huffmyer has spent so much time and effort working on the information booklets in past years (sometimes she has stayed up till midnight prior to the reunion date). These booklets are given to all reunion attendees, updating everyone on what's gone on in people's lives the last 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and now 35 years. She should be so proud, knowing these books are read cover to cover as soon as everyone picks them up. It includes good information like phone numbers and addresses of our fellow classmates so they can stay in touch through the years...how priceless is that! Nancy Whitburn Embrey is such a joy to work with. She shuns the limelight but you can tell she has so much fun at the reunions. Why not? She looks like the youngest one there! She always has a smile on her face, and provides so much morale support for all the past reunions as well as Reunion 2002. We couldn't do it without her. Larry Nicholas is simply the best! He works night and day, constantly maintaining our website. He must have the address bookmarked on his forehead by now! This labor of love is enjoyed by so many classmates located all over the U.S.--what a walk down Memory Lane to be able to look at the year book pictures and make 35 years seem like just yesterday. Just when you don't think the web site can't get any better, he adds a new feature and makes it even more fun. What a delight he is to work with--his enthusiasm is so contagious. Trust me, there is no better webmaster on Planet Earth! Thank you so much, Larry, for all your hard work--and please thank Pam for lending you to us for this special project. I can't wait to meet both of you. This is my first year working on the Reunion Committee, and I must congratulate Janet, Bob, Linda, Sheryl and Nancy on their efforts on all the previous reunions. You really don't realize how much time and energy is involved putting these events together, but they make it seem so easy. On behalf of the Class of 1967, thank you all so much for all the fun. You're a class act and I am proud to be on the 2002 committee. Shirley Barker Gillespie |
